Passier’s exclusive "The Lifter" panels with even more contact area on the horse's back are perfect for horses with high withers, for example. Naturally, with these horses the saddle needs to be high enough at the front to avoid exerting pressure on the sensitive withers. A saddle which provides more space for the withers at the front, however, also needs extra flocking to raise it accordingly at the rear and ensure it is positioned correctly over the center of gravity. And the higher the flocking at the rear, the greater the risk that – instead of the panels having good overall contact with the horse’s back – this will be restricted to the outer areas only.
With "The Lifter" panels this problem is a thing of the past. The panels are designed so that the saddle lies horizontally on the horse's back and therefore, as well as very good wither clearance, also ensure a good contact area. Furthermore, the short, round form of the panels at the rear means they come off the horse's back quickly and therefore exert no pressure. These special features make "The Lifter" panels very horse-friendly – and extra high gussets are no longer required! They are available for all new Passier saddles.
